We seemed to have picked the perfect season to visit Lake Bob Sandlin State Park.
I can't imagine it is any more beautiful at any other time of year.
The air was more than brisk, but there was plenty of sunshine and gorgeous fall color on the trails.
Did I mention it was beautiful?
Oh, and there is a lake.
Yep. Especially beautiful in the late afternoon light.
And the oaks at this park were stunning. Not red or brown, but an amazing copper color that I will not soon forget. Probably my favorite tree in the park.
This was park number 2 on our Thanksgiving trip. We saw 6 all together. More on those parks in the near future, but to see more of our park adventures click here.
